Woodlands is managed by a Board of Directors, who are elected at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders who are all residents of the Village.


This guarantees that residents have input into the village affairs and lifestyle. In turn, the Board appoints a management team to operate the day-to-day affairs of the Village.


The Management team has vast experience in the care of mature residents.

Jan Caldwell, Chairperson


Jan has been a resident of Woodlands for 8 years, she moved into the village from Gosford, to be closer to family.


Jan enjoys the variety of activities the village has to offer and her favourite part of the village is the view she has from her balcony of all the gum trees .

Margaret Edwards, Director


Margaret has lived in the village for 13 years. Prior to Woodlands, she is in Melrose Park and Paddington.


Margaret’s favourite part of the village is the Community Centre residents gather to socialise and get involved in different activities.


Margaret also likes that fact the village is a very safe place. Residents look out for each other and if a resident is missing from an event or hasn’t been seen, then we make sure to go and check on them.

Alec Grunbach, Director


Alec and his wife are from the Hills district and after 70 years made the move into the village.


It was really important to the Grunbach’s that they stayed in the area they were familiar with. Alec enjoys the variety of activities available in the village and his favourite part of village life is the community centre, where he gets involved in many activities and socialising with other residents.

Jean Williams, Director


Jean has been enjoying village life for the past 7 years.


She moved into the village from the Hawkesbury. Jean has great satisfaction working with the Garden Club that we has been established, and loves the beautiful Gardens that surround the village.

Lynette Hoare, Director


My husband Geoff and I moved to Woodlands in 2012 and during that time I have enjoyed being involved socially in many activities and also in a voluntary capacity with Coffee Club, Social Committee, Bingo and Painting for Fun on Mondays.


My interests are gardening, arts and craft, swimming, exploring new places, Aussie Rules Football and watching just about any other sporting event. Any spare time, I love being with the family and looking after the grandchildren.

Meg Dennis, Director


Meg Dennis:

I have lived in Woodlands Village since 2007 and I am part of the Monday Coffee Club, also attending Happy Hour in the Community Centre and the Lodge each month, and the non-denominational church service, and the special events the Village hosts from time to time.  I really enjoy being involved in all activities that run here at Woodlands and the camaraderie of my fellow residents.


My favourite sport is Ice Skating, and I am currently part of a weekly neighbourhood Craft group.

Sandra, CEO and Real Estate Licensee; Sarah, Village Manager; Tim, Maintenance Manager.


Collectively this team has in excess of 40 years experience at Woodlands Retirement Village. These positions are appointed by the board and are reviewed on an annual basis.
